This project improved conditions on the east side of Broadway between Washington and Clinton Streets. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be enhanced by making the corridor more accessible and safer for non-motorized use, and more aesthetically pleasing for motorists, residents, and businesses.
The Keller Engineers’ team accomplished these goals through the implementation of new, more distinguished curbs and sidewalks compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility standards, lighting, and signage. Additional responsibilities included the addition of amenities that match the existing streetscape features constructed on the eastern side of Broadway between Washington and Clinton Streets:

  • New concrete curb and sidewalk
  • In-laid decorative brick sidewalk pavers
  • Decorative street lights
  • Shade trees
  • Trash receptacles
  • Benches
  • Bicycle racks
